HOW MANY COURSES WILL I OFFER IN A SEMESTER?
If you are a day student, you would offer nothing less than nine courses per semester and if you are an evening student, you would offer nothing less than seven courses per semester. Of all these courses you would offer, at least one might be a GST course. GST courses are general courses (i.e. courses for every student in a faculty). All GST courses are 0 unit courses; in other words, they carry no marks but they must be passed before one can ever graduate from the university. As the semesters progress, one would also need to offer ‘elective courses’ (these are courses borrowed from other departments within a faculty); so, this would make the overall number of courses more. For example, one could end up offering eleven courses as a day student and nine as an evening student.
